The Development Trust Association (DTA) visits Foresters

The Development Trusts Association (DTA) is the leading network of community enterprise practitioners dedicated to helping people set up development trusts and helping existing development trusts learn from each other and work effectively.

Of course Australia is a different context and as yet we have not seen large scale asset transfer of this type.  However, we are starting to see a growing interest in community asset building and the value it can bring to the sustainability of community organisations.

We were fortunate to have Jess Steele who is the head of Consultancy with the Development Trust Association in UK visit us at Foresters in February 2010.
