Social Innovation Education

There is an increasing demand for our Social Innovation Education from the Third and Fourth Sectors in Australia.  This reflects the growing interest in these sectors for access to education and training that builds capacity for social innovation. 

People in these sectors want something different - they want to be exposed to new ways of thinking; to unlock their creativity and to escape the limitations of traditional charitable approaches to social issues.

Our Social Innovation Education program is designed specifically to meet this growing demand and focuses on:

• Providing an educational framework for innovative practice across a range of fields including community finance, social business and community economic development.
• Delivering core skills related to building the capacity of the Third and Fourth Sectors to move beyond a reliance on traditional forms of funding.

Our Social Innovation Education program is offered in a face to face training format and through the publication of material.    

Education and Training

We develop and offer training and education programs to help build capacity if the Third and Fourth sectors. This includes programs in areas such as:

• Building Financial Sustainability
• Understanding Financial Statements
• Community Asset Building
• Governance for Innovation
• Community Economic Development
• Getting off the Funding Treadmill.

Organisational Development and Capacity Building

Sometimes attending a training activity helps you identify the need for change within your organisation, but you still need some additional assistance to create and implement a plan tailored to your specific needs.  We can work with you to plan the steps to achieve your goals.  This may include a combination of tailored education, strategic planning workshops and project support.  

Research

We undertake contract and self-funded research activities across our focus areas and we also endeavor to extract the learning from each project and activity we undertake. Much of this research is recorded through our publications.
