Fair Finance Australia delivers affordable and accessible small consumer loans with express objectives of financial education and inclusion. The program is funded through the Federal Government’s Community Development Finance Institutions Pilot (through FaHCSIA).

Foresters has delivered a range of small loans of microfinance products for over ten to fifteen years and this program represents the next evolution in this process.

Fair Finance Australia underpins the vision of providing small consumer loans in an understanding and compassionate manner to individuals whose financial needs are often only met by fringe lenders in sometimes exploitive conditions. Fair Finance Australia will offer loans from $1,000 to $4,000 to assist individuals or families on a pathway back to mainstream financial services.

As well as providing finance where appropriate, Fair Finance Australia also seeks to offer support and referral services to empower our clients with a better understanding of how to manage their money, a knowledge of how the financial service industry works and how to avoid the many traps that can lead to financial exclusion.
